Day 4 Photo Highlights from the 2018 Great Race
On the road again! We launched from the beautiful town of Burlington, Vermont this morning, and our course instructions sent us on another journey through rural farm land and small towns. We eventually crossed into New Hampshire, making our way to a lunch stop at base of Mount Washington. We had a great turnout of folks at the lunch stop, and all racers had the option of making the trip to the Summit using the historic Mount Washington Auto Road. This treacherous 7.4-mile road has no guard rails, and it's barely wide enough for two cars to pass each other. About 30 of the 117 teams elected to go to the Summit, and we were there to capture some great photos as they climbed. After the Mount Washington adventure was complete, we had a direct route into Maine, and an outstanding stop in Gardiner. The small town offered the perfect venue for our entourage, and the locals came out in droves to support the Great Race. Check out our highlights from today's route, and look for some beautiful Maine scenery for the next couple days of highlights.
