The Goodguys Hall of Fame Road Tour Stops in Chattanooga
The Goodguys Rod & Custom Association is a popular car show series, that spans the United States with high end hot rod events. As if the 2016 show schedule wasn't busy enough, the Goodguys staff and a group of hot rodders departed on the Goodguys Hall of Fame Road Tour. The event is in memory of Goodguys founder, Gary Meadors, and it consists of 7 days and 1,800 miles from Chicago, Illinois to Fort Worth, Texas. The tour not only features scenic drives, but also includes shop tours of some of the coolest automotive aftermarket facilities in the country, and they put Coker Tire on their list of venues to visit. Goodguys Hall of Fame Road Tour The Goodguys Hall of Fame Road Tour kicked off in the Chicago area, and has visited the Roadster Shop, Ridetech and many more shops and vendors that are in the street rod industry. On day 3 of their journey, the tour stopped at Lokar for a tour and lunch, and then a quick tour of Bobby Alloway's shop. From there, the group headed south to Chattanooga, Tennessee, where they rolled in to check out Coker Tire. We supplied the food and a cool setting for a street-style cruise in, and the tour participants spent a few hours hanging out and enjoying the facility. Corky made a brief appearance, and addressed the crowd, applauding them for touring the country because "that wears out tires"! Goodguys Hall of Fame Road Tour Faces in the crowd included Dave Lane, George Poteet, Dave Kindig, Mark Steilow and many more. Also on hand were Goodguys staffers, including a former Goodguys staffer (Steve Anderson) who now works next door Honest Charley Speed Shop and often serves as a tour guide for Coker Tire's daily tours.
