The Hot Bike Tour Packs the Streets Around Coker Tire
There is no doubt that September is a busy month for us here at Coker Tire. We have several events of our own, and it always seems to be a popular time for other touring events and groups to visit our place. This year, we had a special treat, as the Geico Motorcycle Hot Bike Tour made its first ever stop in Chattanooga, Tennessee. You may remember our involvement with the Hot Rod Power Tour in 2010 and 2013...the Hot Bike Tour is a similar deal, but it's geared toward motorcycle enthusiasts. Our motorcycle tire product line is growing in popularity, so hosting an event like this is awesome for us, and we were excited to see the bikes start pouring into the Southside of Chattanooga on Sunday, September 11th. Bikes continued to roll in as the day went on, and we enjoyed the awesome turnout, live music and of course, the invited builders who had some killer custom motorcycles on display. Hot Bike Tour 2016 One of our favorites bikes in the build-off was built by Matt Harris at 40 Cal Customs. He's based out of Tennessee and he LOVES using our tires and rims on his bikes! His creation for this year's Hot Bike Tour is a 1923 Harley Davidson "JD", which is built for top speed, as it was raced on the Bonneville Salt Flats mere days before coming back for the Hot Bike Tour. The bike features a custom frame, with awesome aluminum body work, and of course, it's rolling on a pair of Firestone Smooth all white tires, mounted to our Clincher Rims. Matt won the Editor's Choice award at the event, a huge honor!
