Did the stock 55 Chev.come with a 5inch or a 6inch wheel? Also what was the original tire size that came on the car?

Answer:

All 1955 Chevrolet passenger cars were factory equipped with 15 x 5 wheels, mounted with 670-15 bias ply tires.

Answer:

If you are referring to a 1956 Chevrolet wagon, the wheel size is 15x5. All Chevrolet models had 15x5 wheel in 1956, actually.
